Patna : Australia defeated Pakistan by 80 runs in the 3rd ODI at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi, UAE, on March 27, 2019, late night, with captain and opener Aaron Finch scoring 90 in 136 balls with 5 fours and a six and Glen Maxwell scoring 71(run out) in55 balls with 8 fours and a six. Finch had scored centuries in the first two ODIs. Australia have now taken an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match ODI series.

Electing to bat after winning the toss, Australia scored 266/6. Opener Usman Khawaja fell to Usman Shinwari for a duck making it 0/1 while Shaun Marsh fell to Junaid Khan for 14.  Peter Handscomb scored 47 in 43 balls with 6 fours while wicketkeeper Alex Carey made an unbeaten 25 in 21 balls with a six. Marcus Stoinis fell to Imad Wasim for 10. Finch fell to spinner Yasir Shah.

Chasing a target of 267, Pakistan were all out for 186 in 44.4 overs with opener Imam-Ul-Haq scoring 46 in 72 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes while captain Shoab Malik scored 32 in 50 balls with 1 four. Umar Akmal made 36 in 46 balls with 3 fours while Imad Wasim made 43 in 53 balls with 4 fours.

For Australia, fast bowler Pat Cummins took 3/24 in 8 overs while spinner Adma Zampa took 4/43 in 9.4 overs. Maxwell took 1/21 in 5 overs while Mathan Lyon took 1/48 in 10 overs. Fast bowler Jason Behrendorff took 1/29 in 8 overs. Cummins was named Player of the Match.
