Patna : After the five-match ODI series, Kuldip Yadav and Y Chahal again rocked Australia in the first of three -match T20 series at Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand state, on October 7, 2017. India won the toss but skipper Virat Kohli elected to field first. Australia had scored a paltry 118/8 in 18.4 overs when play was stopped due to rain with opener Aaron Finch scoring 42 runs.

Kuldip Yadav took 2/16 in four over while Chahal took 1/23 in four overs. Jasprit Bumrah had taken 2/17 in three overs, Hardik Pandya took 1/33 in 4 overs and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar 1/28 in 3.4overs. Australian wickets fell like pack of cards.
