Patna: Aurangabad SP Satyaprakash on Monday assured to provide all possible assistance to the family members of slain SHO, Kothi police station in Gaya district, Mohd. Qyamuddidin.

It may be mentioned here Mohd. Qyamuddidin, SHO, Kothi police station, was shot dead on October 3 when he was on a morning stroll on Gaya-Kothi road, close to the local police station. The assailants had come on a bike and accosted the SHO and pumped bullets on him after a heated exchange with him. The name of local mafia Shan-e-Ali had cropped up during investigation of the case.

Satyaprakash, who had gone to Alinagar based residence of Qyamuddin, also handed over Rs 50,000 cash, collected by the policemen of the district, to his family members. Regarding government job to the deceased’s wife, Satyaprakash said that since his wife is already in government job, she would not get job on compassionate ground.

In her interaction with Aurangabad SP, the slain SHO’s wife Anjum Ara urged him to provide security and special assistance to enable her educate her three children. She recalled before Satyaprakash that her husband wanted his children to become IAS and IPS officers. Anjum also urged Aurangabad SP for immediate arrest of the killers of her husband.
