Ara : An ASI Basuki Paswan committed suicide by shooting himself with his service revolver at Dhangai police station in Bhojpur district on May 4, 2017. Later, police brought the body to the Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Work load and family tension are said to be reasons behind the incident.
ASI Basuki Paswan was a resident of village Akbarpur in Bhagalpur district and was posted at Dhangai Police Station. He was under tension for the last two weeks. On May 4, he confined himself in the room of his barrack at Dhangai police station and committed suicide with his service revolver. Hearing the sound of the gunshot, other policemen rushed to the barrack but the ASI had died by that time.
