Ara : Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), Ara, on July 6, 2017, issued warrant of arrest against all the 10 named accused in the murder of a businessman Krishna Kumar Singh alias Kumar ji at Ara on July 2, 2017. Even after continuous raids, Bhojpur police have failed to arrest even a single named accused in the case regard so far.
Police conducted raid at the house of Mantu Pandey at Mahajan Toli No 2 under Town police station, Ara, on July 5 but no male member was found there. Police had earlier taken two persons: Sameer and Raja, in custody for interrogation and succeeded in getting some important clue in the murder of the businessman.
Ten persons including HAM (S) spokesperson Danish Rijwan, his brother Shahid Afjal, Munnu Singh, son of Deputy Mayor, Ara Municipal Corporation (AMC), Malati Devi, Indubhan Singh, former district president, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, notorious criminal and one of the main accused in Ara Civil Court bomb blast, Chand Mian, and his brother Md Nayeem, Sirajuddin Safina, Tibla, Dibua were named accused in the FIR in the murder of the businessman on the statement of Mahesh Yadav, an eye witness who was accompanying Kumar Ji at the time of incident. Land dispute is said to be the cause behind the incident. It was said that the accused were trying to capture a piece of land of Kumar ji at Bhaluhipur locality.
SHO, Town Police Station, J P Singh said that police were conducting raids at every possible place and not a single accused will be spared.
Some motorcycle borne armed miscreants had fired 25 rounds at businessman Krishna Kumar Singh alias Kumar ji in Padav locality near Model Institute under Town Police Station in the afternoon on July 2, 2017 ,when he was returning home. He was son of businessman late Ram Khelawan Singh. Several leaders including Raja Bhaiya from Uttar Pradesh, who is said to be uncle (Fufa) of Kumar ji , visited his house to console the bereaved family.
