Army personnel arrested for rape bid in Bhojpur

Ara : Bhojpur police arrested an army personnel Raj Kiran from a village under Gajrajganj police outpost on on August 31, 2019, for allegedly making attempts to outrage modesty of a close relative. Police sent him to jail after lodging a named FIR against him on the statement of the woman.

SHO, Gajrajganj police outpost, Manish Kumar said that Raj Kiran tried to outraged modesty of his relative,  Sarpanch, Gram Kutchery, Nawada Ben,  under Gajrajganj police outpost several times. He said that the woman’s husband had gone to New Delhi and finding her all alone, Raj Kiran tried to outrage her modesty in the afternoon on August 30, 2019, and when she protested, he went on rampage and threatened to defame her if she refused to oblige him.

In the late evening the same day, Raj Kiran once again entered the house and tried to outrage her modesty in front of her children, the SHO said. But, the woman forced him out of the house. Meanwhile, her brother came to her rescue. Raj Kiran also thrashed him. She raised an alarm and villagers gathered there and informed the police. The SHO detected with breath analyser that the army personnel had taken liquor.
