Buxar : Police conducted raids at two guessing centres located in Yamuna Chowk and Satyadev Mill localties at Buxar under Buxar Town police station on August 31, 2019, and arrested two gamblers and seized papers used in guessing and cash from their possession though some gamblers escaped from the spot.
Police are conducting raids to arrest the remaining gamblers. The arrested gamblers were identified as Munna Sah of Jyoti Chowk and Hazari Prasad of Koirpurva localities at Buxar. A named FIR was lodged with Buxar Town police station against them and they were sent to jail after interrogation.
SHO, Buxar Town police station, Rahul Kumar said that he got information that guessing centres were being run at Yamuna Chowk and Satyadev Mill areas under the police station.He immediately swung into action and conducted raids along with police force and arrested two gamblers : Munna Sah and Hazari Prasad and also seized papers, mobile phones, and Rs 3,700 cash.
