Ara : A youth was beaten up and injured by the security guard at Ara Sadar Hospital on February 23, 2021, afternoon, when he had gone there to get himself tested for Coronavirus and, as a result, lost an opportunity to get a job in the army as he suffered thigh bone fracture in lathicharge .The injured youth was identified as Ankit Kumar, 18, son of Yogi Singh of village Bheldumara under Ara Muffasil police station (PS) in Bhojpur District in South Bihar.

Ankit Kumar said at Ara Sadar Hospital that he had to appear at the army recruitment examination to be held at Muzzaffarpur on February 24, 2021,and he had to submit Corona test certificate. So he had gone to Ara Sadar Hospital on February 23, 2021. He was in queue along with other youth for the purpose at the Out Patient Department (OPD) when some youth started making noise. Meanwhile, some security guards of Ara Sadar Hospital reached there and resorted to lathicharge unprovoked breaking bones of his right thigh, alleged Ankit.

Civil Surgeon L P Jha rushed to the spot and said that a youth was injured in the lathicharge by security guard  and added that an inquiry is going on and appropriate action action would be taken against the security guard concerned.
