Ara : An FIR was lodged with Town police station, Ara, on July 3, 2017, against 10 persons including Munnu Singh, son of Malati Devi, Deputy Mayor, Ara Municipal Corporation (AMC), former district president, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Indrabhan Singh, Spokeperson, HAM (S), Danish Rizwan, his brother Shahid Afjal, notorious criminal Chand Mian and his brother Nayeem in connection with murder of a businessman Krishna Kumar Singh alias Kumar Ji on July 2.
Bhojpur SP Kshatranil Singh said that he had constituted six police teams and they were conducting raids at different places to arrest the accused. The SP hoped the accused will be arrested very soon.
Six motorcycle borne armed criminals way laid and shot dead a businessman Krishna Kumar Singh alias Kumari Ji, 32, in Padav locality near Model Institute under Town Police Station, Ara, in broad daylight, on July 2 when he was going to his residence. He was a son of a businessman late Ram Khelawan Singh.
Deputy Mayor, AMC, Malati Devi, said that her son Munnu Singh has nothing to do with the murder of the businessman and it was he who had taken Krishna Kumar Singh alias Kumar Ji to Ara Sadar Hospital. The family members of the HAM (S) spokeperson Danish Rizwan said that he was out of Bihar for the last several days.
