Ara  : Bikrama Prasad Kesari, a middleage grocery shop owner and son of Gauri Shankar Prasad of village Jitaura   under Piro police station in Bhojpur district committed suicide by consuming poison on April 1, 2017. He was under depression due financial crisis in the family. Police recovered the body near Veer Kuer Singh Stadium at Ramana Maidan under Nawada police station, Ara, on April 1 and brought it to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.

Leelawati Devi, wife of the deceased, said that Bikrama Prasad Kesari was not doing well in his business and was under pressure for the marriage of his daughter. Leelawati said she has three sons and two daughters and the marriage of elder daughter Rani was settled at Karman Tola, Ara, and it is scheduled for April 17. On April 1, Bikrama  told his wife that he was going to distribute invitation cards but he committed suicide.
