Ara : Ara Sadar Hospital will be developed like a medical college hospital at an estimated cost of Rs 10 crore and a detailed report in this regard has been prepared. A team of National Health System Resource Centre (NHSRC) visited Ara Sadar Hospital on June 24, 2017, for an on the spot supervision for the change and development of basic infrastructure of the hospital. The team also supervised all the faculties of the hospital and also measured the land behind the emergency ward for the new construction.
State Head, NHSRC, Ajit Singh, had a talk with the officials and employees of the hospital for giving a new touch to the hospital. Deputy Superintendent (DS), Ara Sadar Hospital, Dr Satish Kumar Sinha said that the government has planned for the development of basic infrastructure of Sadar Hospitals in nine districts of Bihar so that these hospitals might be upgraded into medical colleges in future and Ara Sadar Hospital is among the nine selected districts and Rs 10 crore has been sanctioned for it.
The DS said that 100 beds wards, emergency ward near the main gate, doctors and staffs quarters, upgradation of X-ray and blood bank, new labour room, three operation theatres, a laundry will be built and equipped with sophisticated instrument and gadgets besides ACs. He said that Ara Sadar Hospital will be upgraded to a medical college in future and he and District Programme Manager, Health, Prem Ranjan Modi had been assigned the task to prepare project for it.
