Ara residents block 3 roads to protest diplapidated condition of roads in Bhojpur

Ara : Hundreds of residents of Ara blocked Ara-Sasaram, Ara-Patna, and Ara-Mohania main roads near Bihari Mill under Nawada police station, Ara, on July 22, 2019, to protest against dilapidated condition of roads of Bhojpur district. The protesters burnt tyres on road paralysing the movement of vehicles. They were also raising slogans against Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and also against officials of Bhojpur district administration.

Speaking on the occasion, the protesters said that accidents were taking place almost daily and they face a lot of problems in communication as majority of roads in Bhojpur district are in dilapidated condition even as they had requested the officials of the Bhojpur district administration and even Ara Municipal Corporation (AMC) to repair these roads
