Ara Reman Home escapee surrenders before court

Ara : One of the four fugitive inmates of Ara Remand Home Shiv Shankar Singh, son of Sadanand Singh of village Pianiya under Udwantnagar police station in Bhojpur district, surrendered before an Ara  court on July 18, 2017. Later, he was sent to jail. The family members of another fugitive Rohit of village Lilari under Charpokhari police station handed had him over to police on July 17, 2017.

Four inmates of Ara Remand Home had escaped from police custody after breaking the floor of the prisoners’ van on July 12, 2017, near Dhanupura under Town Police Station, Ara, when being taken  to the juvenile court for production. An FIR was lodged with Town police station against them. All the four fugitives were arrested in different criminal cases. Two of them are still at large.

Police sources said that Shiv Shankar Singh of village Pianiya was arrested in connection with production warrant while Rohit of village Lilari was arrested on May 30, 2016, in connection with two criminal cases. The third fugitive Jitendra Chaudhary alias Mithai Chaudhary of Anand Nagar under  Town police station was arrested on June 15, 2015, in connection with murder of a mobile  shop owner in Jail road locality Vikky alias Mukesh and three other criminal cases. The fourth fugitive Bir Pratap alias Roushan alias Praveen Vishal of Chasi village under Narayanpur police station was arrested on April 26, 2017, in connection with dacoity and vehicle lifting.
