Ara : Power consumers of Ara town will not face frequent power tripping, low voltage and damage to transformer fter June 27, 2017, as the power supply system is being streamlined. The South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (SBPDCL) has planned to change the electric wire with insulated covered wire from June 27, 2017 and M/S Bajaj Company at Giddha under Koelwar police station in Bhojpur district has been assigned the task to replace the electric wire with insulated covered wire.

Executive Engineer (EE) , SBPDCL, Sanjay Kumar Bario said that the work to change the wire was to start from May 20, 2017, but it got delayed as the materials and instrument required for it were not be received. He said now all the required items have reached the godown of the M/S Bajaj Company at Giddha and the work will be start from June 27. He said that the work will be started in 10 localities Gopali Chowk, Karman Tola, Dharahara, Milki Mohalla, Tari Mohalla, Dharman Chowk, Mirganj, Mahadeva, Shivganj and Ramgarhia of Ara town in the first phase and the remaining areas will be covered with insulated covered wire in the second phase. Bario said that several cases of electrocution were reported in the past due to uncovered electric wire.

EE Bario said that power theft and frequent illegal change of phase will be checked and added power breakdown will also be checked and the power consumers will get uninterrupted power supply. The EE stated that the SBPDCL has also planned to strengthen earthing system of the transformers to sort out fluctuation of voltage.
