Ara : Superintendent, Ara Jail, Yusuf Rizwan, conducted raids in the jail on December 14, 2019, and seized three mobile phones lying behind Ward Nos 21, 22, 23. An FIR was lodged with Town police station, Ara, on the statement of the Jail Superintendent.
Jail Superintendent, Yusuf Rizwan said that he was trying to identify the inmates using the mobile phones and also to identify their acquaintances.
It may be mentioned here that Ara Jail is always in news for seizure of mobile phones and other banned materials but these items are seized lying unattended suggesting the inmates knew about the raids in advance.
