Ara DM orders for running classes from VI to XII

Ara : Bhojpur District Magistrate Sanjeev Kumar has ordered all the government and private schools to carry on teaching activities from Class VI to Class XII in the district despite the severe cold wave. Bone chilling wind continued to blow even on January 17, 2018, forcing the people to stay indoors.

The entire district is engulfed in dense fog and people are seen around bonfire to beat the chill. Though people had some respite from the cold wave due to sunshine on January 17, the cold weather with dense fog was back in the evening. Ground frost like conditions were also reported at scattered places. Light to moderate icy winds continued to create bone chilling impact till late in the evening. Weak sunshine was observed in many parts of the state as Gaya recorded maximum temperature at 22 degree Celsius and minimum at 5.4 degree Celsius. Weak sunshine was observed at Ara with maximum temperature at 22 degree Celsius and minimum at 5.4 degree Celsius.

Guardians complained that their children might fall ill if the government and the district administration do not close the school again failing which they would not send them to the schools. The appealed the district magistrate to order for closure of the schools till the weather condition improves. Manwhile, the bonfire is hardly visible anywhere in Bhojpur district even as the DM had ordered for providing the same in the entire district. The DM distributed blankets amongst the people sleeping under open sky only at Ara.

The patients at Ara Sadar Hospital,Primary Health Centres (PHCs) and Referral Hospitals in Bhojpur district patients  are a harried lot as the hospital administration has failed to provide blankets them. Neither they have made arrangement for bonfire for the patients. Even the Ara Municipal Corporation (AMC) has failed to rise to the occasion so far.
