Ara Court sentences rape case accused to 10 years’ RI

Ara : Additional District and Sessions Judge I and Special Judge, Protection of Children against Sexual Offence (POCSO), Ara, R K Singh, on August 1, 2019, sentenced to 10 years’ rigorous  imprisonment (RI) Rajveer Singh alias Vicky for outraging the modesty of a teenage girl and also making a video of the same viral on social media. The court and also slapped a fine of Rs 14,000 on the convict.

Special Public Prosecutor Saroj Kumari said that Ranveer Singh alias Vicky of Udwantnagar police station area called a teenage girl of his village to his house on January 25, 2019. When she reached there, he outraged her modesty and also videographed the event. Later, he made that video viral on social media. A named FIR was lodged with Udwantnagar police station in this connection.

After hearing both the parties, the ADJ I convicted Rajveer Singh alias Vicky and sentenced him to 10 years’ rigorous imprisonment and also slapped a fine of Rs. 14,000 on him.
