Ara : Additional District and Sessions Judge II, Ara, Shailendra Kumar Sharma, on July 31, 2021, sentenced to 10 years’ rigorous imprisonment (RI) under section 307 IPC Jitendra Kumar Singh of village Gangahar under Ara Muffasil police station (PS) for attempt to murder a person of his village.
The court also slapped a fine of Rs 50,000 on the convict. The court also slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 on him and an imprisonment of one and half a year under section 504 IPC.
Advocate Manik Kumar Singh said that Jitendra Kumar Singh of Gangahar village under Ara Muffasil police station had shot at and injured his relative Harendra Singh at Gangahar village on April 24, 2017, and a named FIR had been lodged with Ara Muffasil PS in this connection.
After hearing both the parties, the ADJ II awarded rigorous 10 years’ RI to Jitendra Kumar Singh and slapped a fine of Rs 50,000 under section 307 IPC and additional imprisonment of one and half a year and a fine of Rs. 10,000 under section 504 on him. Both the sentences will go simultaneously.
