Ara : Judicial Magistrate, Ara, Dr Rajesh Singh, on November 17, 2018, ordered for withholding the salary of the station house officer (SHO), Bihia police station in Bhojpur district, for his failure to produce a witness before the court. This order will remain in force till the SHO produces the witness before the court. A copy of the order has been sent to the Bhojpur SP for compliance.

Nanhak Teli of Dhus Musahari under Bihia police station was arrested and sent to jail under the Prohibition & Excide Act. He fell ill and was admitted to Sadar Hospital, Ara, but died on April 26, 2018, during the pendency of the case. After the death of the undertrial, an inquiry is underway under which statements of all witnesses except that of Bhuali Devi, wife of the deceased, have been recorded. The court had issued summon and even non-bailable warrant against her and directed the SHO to produce her before the court but he did not comply with the court order.

Notice to SHO : Chief Judicial Magistrate, VII, Ara Civil Court, Pranab Shankar, on November 17, 2018, served a show cause notice to the SHO Nawada police station Subodh Kumar through the Bhojpur SP Aditya Kumar for his failure to produce an accused before the court and non- compliance of court order. The court has also ordered to send a copy of the order to the zonal IG.

Ajit Ojha of Katira locality under Nawada police station had filed a case against Vijay Shankar Tiwari of Anaith Bihari Mill for taking his motorcycle and Rs 10,000 by fraud.
