Ara : Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, VII, Ara, Pranav Shankar, on September 12, 2018, directed SSP, Patna, to withhold the salary of Station House Officer (SHO), Digha police station (PS), Patna, for not complying with the order of the court to attach property of an accused in a loot case. The ACJM asked the SSP, Patna, that the salary of the SHO, Digha PS, would remain withheld till he complies with the order of the court.

Parmatma Pandey of Pandey Tola under Barhara police station was returning home after drawing Rs 20,000 from the Saraiya branch of the Punjab National Bank on December 8, 2010, when three motorcycle borne armed miscreants intercepted him and snatched the money.

Police had filed chargesheet against three unnamed accused in the court in this connection. After filing of charge- sheet, Sujit Yadav of Kurji road, Patna, got bail but he never appeared before the court after that. The court had issued warrant of attachment against him and ordered the SHO, Digha police station, Patna, to attach his property but the SHO did not comply with the order of the court.
