Ara : Additional District and Sessions Judge X, Ara, Amarjeet Kaur Man, on June 1, 2019, issued show notice to the Station House Officer (SHO), Ara Town police station, and directed him to appear before the court within 4 days and reply to the show cause notice.

APP, Ara Civil Court, said that after the death of a man in a road accident in Ahirpurwa locality under Ara Town police station on September 24, 2003, local residents had gone on rampage and when police went there, the protesters pelted them with stones in which half a dozen police personnel were injured. An FIR was lodged with Ara Town Police station on the statement of an SI, Ganesh Maharaja, and seven police personnel including the then Inspector Mithilesh Kumar Singh, and a doctor of  Police Hospital, Mahesh Prasad, were made witnesses.

The court directed the witnesses to appear before it and when they did not turn up, the court issued warrant and non-bailable warrant against them. But, the SHO, Ara town police station, failed every time to produce them before the court. Taking serious note of it, the court served show cause notice on the SHO and asked him to appear in the court within four days and reply the show cause notice.
