Wimbledon Champion Simona Halep, 28, Romania, who also lost in the semi-finals of AO has jumped 1 place to be ranked World No 2 with 6,101 points while Karolina Pliskova, 27, Czech R3public, who lost in the 3rd round of AO, has slipped 1 place to be ranked World No 3 with 5,290 points.
Elina Svitolina, Ukraine, who too lost in 3rd round of AO, has, however, jumped 1 position to be ranked World No 4 with 4,775 points. Belinda Bencic, Switzerland, who also lost in the 3rd round of AO has jumped 2 ladders to be ranked World No 5 with 4,675 points while US Open Champion Bianca Andreescu Vanessa, Canada, remains static at World No 6 with 4,665 points.
Moscow born Sofia Kenin, 21, USA, has jumped 8 places to be ranked World No 7 with 4,495 points after winning the Australian Open title, her first Grand Slam title.
