Patna : World No 6 Kevin Anderson, 32, South Africa, inflicted a demoralising defeat on World No 9 Kei Nishikori, 28, Japan, on November 13, 2018, evening, in a Group Stage match of Nitto ATP finals in London, UK. Anderson beat Nishikori 6-0, 6-1 winning 5 break points.

Anderson fired 10 Aces in the match to 2 by Nishikori. Anderson’s winning percentage on both his first and second serve was much better than that of Nishikori. Anderson won 11 games in a row in the match. Nishikori had stunned World No 3 and winner of 20 Grand Slam singles title Roger Federer, 37, Switzerland, in a Group Stage match on November 12, 2018. Anderson had defeated World No 8 Dominic Thiem, 25, Austria, a Group Stage match on November 11, 2018.
