Amitabh -Taapsee Pannu starrer ‘Badla’ doing well at box office

Patna : Sujoy Ghosh directorial mystery thriller film ‘Badla’ starring Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsse Pannu, Amrita Singh, Manav Kaul, and Tony Luke has done a business of over Rs 26 crore in 4 days across the country since its release on March 8, 2019. Made on a budget of over Rs 30 crore, the film has crossed the first weekend collection of Amitabh Bachchan -Taapsee Pannu starrer hit film ‘Pink’, which released in 2016, due to strong word of mouth and appreciation by critics.

‘Pink’ had collected over Rs 21.5 crore in its first weekend while ‘Badla’ has collected over Rs 23 crore in its first weekend. The film collected over Rs 5 crore on March 8, nearly Rs 8.6 crore on March 9, Rs 9.6 crore on March 10, and Rs 3.7 crore on March 11, 2019.

The film is a murder mystery and Taapsee has played the role of key suspect. Amitabh Bachchan has played the role of an Advocate in the film. The film is based on a hit Spanish film. Amrita Singh has returned to films after several years. This is Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu’s second film together.
