Patna: Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on Monday announced all universities and colleges in the state will have wi fi facility from February, 2017. Speaking at Patna Gandhi Maidan after hoisting the national tri colour on the 70th Independence Day, Nitish said his government will open language training and computer application centres in 534 blocks to train youths  in advanced technology.

The CM listed his plans for the next five years under his seven resolves(Saat nischay) and said  a startup capital of Rs 5,000 crore would be set up to help young entrepreneurs in setting up their own units. All youths between 20-25 year will get Rs 1,000 per month for the next two years  to enable them search a job during the period. Giving details of development projects, the CM said the students credit card scheme will be introduced on October 2 and they would get interest free loans of Rs 4 lakh each to puruse higher education.
Nitish claimed the total prohibition launched since April 5 has changed the environment in the villages of Bihar. About achievements of his government, he said when he took over as CM in November 2005, Bihar’s annual budget was of Rs 22000 crore and in 2016-17 it has increased to Rs 1.42 lakh crore.
The CM later visited village Chilbili under Phulwarisharif block, a Mahadalit dominated village, to participate in the Independene Day celebrations.
Governor Ram Nath Kovind hoisted the national flag at Raj Bhawan. Bihar assembly Speaker Vijay Kumar Chaudhury was the chief guest at Vidhan Sabha celebrations. RJD president Lalu Prasad unfurled the tricolour at his residence-10,Circular Road. Divisional railway manager of Danapur R K Jha was the chief guest at DRM office at Danapur on I-day function.
