Ara : Activists of All India Students Association (AISA) led by Md Sabbir and All India Progressive Women’s Association (AIPWA) led by Sangita Kumar burnt the effigy of Bihar CM Nitish Kumar at the Ara railway station on December 24, 2017, in protest against failure of police to arrest the persons involved in rape and murder of a class II girl student at village Karath village under Tarari police station in Bhojpur district despite lapse of four days. Addressing the gatherings, the AISA and AIPWA leaders alleged that the CM had failed to provide security to the women while police had failed to arrest the accused.
