Ara : Hundreds of activists of All India Students’ Association (AISA) led by their Bhojpur district president Md Sabbir on April 24, 2017, took out a procession from their office near eastern railway crossing that passed through the main thoroughfares of the town and reached Ara railway station where they stopped Buxar-Fatuha passenger train for about half an hour. They were protesting the state government decision not to allow the BEd examinees to appear at the Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET) examination.
The AISA members boarded the train engine and also squatted on the rail track and raised slogans against the state government. As a result, a number of long distance trains remained stranded at different railway station under Danapur rail division.
From Ara railway station, the AISA activists proceeded towards the eastern railway crossing where they blocked Ara-Patna and Ara-Sasaram main roads for about two hours paralysing movement of vehicles.
