Patna : Governor cum Chancellor of state universities Lalji Tandon on January 23, 2019, allowed the Vice-Chancellors (VCs) of different universities to utilise the services of teachers of affiliated colleges for evaluation of answer-books of degree level examinations provided it does not affect the quality of evaluation of answer-books. This followed request from different associations of teachers and public representatives.
Five percent of the answer-books to be evaluated by the teachers of affiliated colleges would be randomly checked by senior teachers of constituent colleges and in the event of detection of any shortcoming or irregularity stern action would be taken against the teachers and affiliated colleges concerned. The Chief Examiners would be appointed from the constituent colleges only, according to a Raj Bhavan release.
