Muzaffarpur : A central Adverse Effect Following Immunisation (AEFI) team headed by Dr Narendra Kumar on May 7, 2017, night visited Sri Krishna Medical College Hospital (SKMCH), Muzaffarpur, to probe into the recent death of two kids and illness of nine children following administration of anti- Measles and Japanese Encephalitis (JE) doses at Aurai in Muzaffarpur district on May 5, 2017.
The central health ministry team was reportedly unhappy as Muzaffarpur Civil Surgeon Dr Lalita Singh did not hand it over the Advisory being followed during immunisation programme besides line of treatment of nine ill children. Dr Narendra Kumar said that for better management of immunisation drive prescribed Rules have to be followed. The central team also examined the nine children admitted to SKMCH.
