Buxar : Taquir Anwar, an ADM rank officer cum Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Buxar District Magistrate (DM), committed suicide at his residence in Veer Kuer Singh Colony, Buxar Town, in the wee hours on November 19, 2017, by hanging himself to from the ceiling fan of his room.
Buxar DM Arvind Kumar Verma, Bhojpur SP, who is also holding charge of SP, Buxar, Awakash Kumar, and other officers and police force rushed to the spot and prevented even the mediapersons to enter the residence of the deceased. Police recovered a suicide note from the room that read ” No one be held responsible for death. It was my own wish.”
ADM Tauqir Anwar was posted in Buxar as Land Acquisition Officer cum OSD to Buxar DM and and was living with his parents and wife at a his residence in Veer Kuer Singh Colony at Buxar. His wife had gone her father’s house four days ago. The ADM had to go to a function with the DM on November 19. The news of his suicide created ripple in the administrative circle in Buxar. The reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained though the police are investigating the matter. Anwar had returned toBuxar from Patna on November 18 night after attending a meeting there.
It may be mentioned here that the then Buxar DM Mukesh Pandey had also committed suicide on August 10, 2017, at Ghaziabad by jumping before a train and Ghaziabad GRP had recovered his body near the rail track.
