Criminals shot at and injure housewife at Saharsa

Saharsa : Two unidentified bike borne criminals shot at and injured a woman Sunita Devi at her house at Gautam Nagar located near Labour Resources Department office under Sadar Police Station, Saharsa, around 10 pm on November 18, 2017, after she refused to give the mobile phone number of her husband Chandrakant Thakur, who was away at Purnia, to them. Sunita Devi was immediately rushed to Sadar Hospital, Saharsa.

The two bike borne criminals reached the Gautam Nagar residence of Chandrakant Thakur around 10 pm when Sunita Devi was sleeping. She woke up when the criminals knocked at the door looking for her husband Chandrakant Thakur. When she told them that her husband had gone to Purnia, the two criminals  asked for the mobile phone number of Thakur. When Sunita Devi refused to give the mobile phone number of her husband to the two strangers, one of them fired on her. The bullet hit her right leg after which she was rushed to the Sadar Hospital.

Sadar Police Station, Saharsa, has lodged an FIR in connection withe the incident on the statement of Sunita Devi and started investigation into it.
