Sitamarhi : The activists demanding withdrawal of CAA and NRC and those supporting it clashed at Bhaur village Chowk under Bokhara block in Sitamarhi District in North Bihar on January 29,2020, during the Bharat Bandh call given by several organisations including Left Parties and Jan Adhikar Party. 

According to an unconfirmed report, around a dozen persons were injured in the clash after the rival groups clashed over the issue of forcible closure of shops during the bandh. The rival groups had heated exchange and soon they got involved in fist fights. But, the administration tackled the situation very efficiently. The situation is well under control, claimed the officials on law & order duty on the occasion.

Barring this incident, the  Bandh passed off peacefully. Vehicular traffic was more or less off the road before noon. Business establishments remained partially closed. The three-year degree course (TDC) Part-II examinations under BRA Bihar university, Muzaffarpur,  was held peacefully at peacefully at Sitamarhi centres.
