Patna : Bihar Government on October 20, 2017, granted permission to A Santosh Mathew, a Bihar cadre IAS officer of 1985 batch and at present Chairman, National Teacher Education Council, Government of India, to take voluntary retirement from Indian Administrative Service for personal reasons from November 1, 2017. Mathew had applied for permission to seek voluntary retirement from IAS on October 4, 2017. The General Administration Department, Bihar Government, issued a notification to this effect on October 20.
