On getting information, Aurangabad SP Satyaprakash along with SDPO and SDO rushed to the spot and quizzed the CISF jawan, who had opened fire at his colleagues. Senior CISF officials from Patna have also rushed to the spot and they would carry out an inquiry into the entire episode as the CISF headquarters has ordered a probe into it. The deceased were identified as Amarnath Mishra (Kattu Ghanshyampur in Darbhanga), Bachcha Sharma (Rukunpura, Patna), Arvind Kumar (Uttar Pradesh) and Garurishankar Ram (Garhwa, Jharkhand).
Aurangabad SP Satyaprakash said that the jawan, who had opened fire at his colleagues, had been identified as Balbir Singh, a native of Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh, and he was arrested. He said that Balbir had some heated argument with other jawans after he returned to his barrack after finishing his duty. Satyaprakash said that he opened fire with his Insas rifle and fired 23 rounds. He said that when the bullets in his magazine finished, he tried to snatch the rifle of another jawan. Another jawan Rakesh Kumar overpowered him, SP said adding that Singh was in tension for past few days over some family problems.
