Gopalganj: A College going girl bashed up a youth near Gopeshwar College under Hathwa police station in Gopalganj on December 31 morning. The incident became talk of the day in the entire sub-division as the news of bashing of a youth by a girl spread in the locality.
Police said that a young girl was on way to attend her coaching classes on her cycle in dense fog on Saturday morning. Finding her moving alone, a youth started following her and passed lewd comments on her. Not satisfied with it, the boy asked for her cellphone number and invited her to attend New Year revelry at Gopal Temple.
Police said that as the girl reached near Gopeshwar College, the youth caught her hand. This enraged the girl, who took out her sandal and started beating up the youth. Before the locals could react, the youth fled away from there. The daring act of the girl was appreciated by the locals.
