Patna : Reigning World Champion & twice Olympic medallist P V Sindhu, 26, India, and World No 6 A N Seyoung, 19, South Korea, will clash in the women’s singles final of season-ending HSBC BWF World Tour Finals at Bali, Indonesia, on December 5, 2021.

World No 7 Sindhu defeated World No 3 Akaane Yamaguchi, 24, Japan, in a three-game thriller 21-15, 15-21, 21-19 in semi-final in 70 minutes on December 4, 2021. Sindhu won 57 points during the match to 55 points by Yamaguchi. Sindhu won 8 consecutive points during the match to 5 by the Japanese.

World No 6 A N Seyoung beat World N 10 Pornpawee Chochuwong, 23, Thailand, in straight games 25-23, 21-17 in 55 minutes in semi-finals. The South Korean, who had recently won the SimInvest Indonesia Open title, won 46 points during the match to 40 points by Chochuwong.  A N Seyoung won 6 consecutive points during the match to 4 points by the Thai.
