Ara : Police arrested main liner of notorious criminal Chhotu Mishra in connection with murder of a contractor Raju Yadav of Ahirpurva locality under Ara Town police station (PS) in Bhojpur District in South Bihar on July 13, 2021, late night, from Ahirpurwa . Two other liners surrendered before the court at Ara under mounting police pressure while two other shooters are still absconding.
Police arrested the main liner Shivam while two other liners Ranveer Yadav and Ramashankar Yadav surrendered before the court. All the three are residents of Ahirpurwa locality. Police are interrogating Shivam and would also take Ranveer Yadav and Ramashankar Yadav on remand for interrogation. Police are conducting raids to arrest the absconding shooters.
Bhojpur SP Rakesh Kumar Dubey said that police had arrested notorious Chhotu Mishra from a village under Koelwar police station on July 9, 2021, in connection with murder of a contractor, Raju Yadav on July 4, 2021, near Sapna Cinema Mor and also recovered a countrymade pistol and five live cartridges from his possession. During interrogation, Chhotu Mishra confessed before police that Raju Yadav was trying to establish his supremacy in the area. He along with his aides went to kill Raju Yadav but his pistol misfired and so his shooters pumped bullets into his body and killed him.
The SP stated that police were conducting raids and under mounting police pressure two liners Ramashankar Yadav and Ranveer Yadav surrendered before the court and were sent to jail. The SP further said that police have applied in the court for the remand of Chhotu Mishra.
