Patna : With just 1,475 more person testing positive for Covid-19 in the state on May 29, the Active Cases further dropped to 18,377 in Bihar including 2,415 in Patna on May 30, 2021, down from 21,084 cases the previous day. A total of 1,491 people had tested positive for Covid-19 in the state on May 28, 2021. Bihar recorded 52 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the tally to 5,104 in the state on May 30. The state received 30 Oxygen Concentrators from centre on May 30, 2021.

Of the 7,05,648 Covid-19 recorded so far in Bihar, a totalof 6,82,166 patients have been declared cured including 4,130 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) improving to 96.67% on May 30 from 96.29% on May 29, 2021. The state has tested 2,98,09,563 samples so far including 1,00,494 samples on May 29, 2021.

The 1,475 new Covid cases included 161 in Patna, 84 in Nalanda, 81 in Muzaffarpur, 81 in Supaul, 70 in Madhubani, 64 in Gopalganj,  63 in Araria, 63 in Katihar, 61 in Purnia, 60 in West Champaran, 59 in Munger, 58 in Begusarai, 50 in Madhepura, 47 in Saran, 44 in Siwan, 42 in Samastipur, 37 in Saharsa, and 35 in Darbhanga.

On the other hand, 52 new Covid deaths included 6 in Patna, 4 in Madhubani, 4 in Siwan, 4 in Supaul, 3 in Muzaffarpur, 3 in Rohtas, 3 in Darbhanga, 2 in Munger, 2 in Nalanda, 2 in Saran, 2 in Begusarai, 2 in Jamui, and in Kaimur, according to State Health Department figure.

With it, the Covid-19 toll climbed to 1,201 in Patna, 316 in West Champaran, 289 in Muzaffarpur, 263 in Bhagalpur, 234 in Nalanda, 190 in Saran, 186 in Gaya, 182 in Darbhanga, 137 in Rohtas, 136 in Munger, 135 in Siwan, 133 in Madhubani, 127 in Begusarai, 122 in East Champaran, 121 in Vaishali, 98 in Nawada, 85 in Madhepura, 83 in Sitamarhi, 79 in Buxar, 67 in Supaul, 48 in Arwal, 42 in Jamui, 41 in Kaimur, 38 in Aurangabad, and 36 in Sheikhpura.
