Ara : Some armed miscreants shot dead Manager of a Brick Kiln at Dhanupura under Ara Town police station (PS) in Bhojpur District in South Bihar in the wee hours on May 30,2021, and when a youth protested, theyhit him with a brick and also pumped a bullet into his body injjuring him seriously. and injured. Police brought the body to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem and admitted the injured there. The doctor referred him to the Patna Medical College and Hospital in precarious condition. The deceased was identified as Mantosh Kumar Singh 35 son of Ganga Prasad of Piparhiya village under Ara Muffassil police station while the injured was identified as Bavanveer Yadav of the same village. The deceased worked as manager at the brick kiln of Ramesh Singh of Ibrahim Nagar locality.

Ramesh Kumar Singh said that he had some tiff with a person of his native village for the last one year. He stated that Mantosh Kumar Singh along with his associates was sleeping at the brick kiln when two armed miscreants at about 3.30 am broke into the brick kiln and shot dead Mantosh Kumar Singh on spot. He blamed Sita Ram Yadav for the act alleging he had demanded rangdari of Rs. 5 lakh about a year ago with a threat of dire consequences and a named FIR was lodged with police against three persons in this connection. He added Mantosh Kumar Singh was an eye witness in the case and so the miscreants killed him. He added that the incident was recorded in the CCTV camera.

SDPO Sadar Pankaj Kumar Rawat, SHO,  Town PS, Shambhu Kumar Bhagat, SHO, Nawada PS, Sanjeev Kumar, SHO, Ara Muffasil PS, Anil Kumar rushed to Ara Sadar Hospital after the incident. Police are conducting raids to arrest the miscreants on the basis of CCTV footage. Bhojpur SP Rakesh Kumar Dubey said that police are investigating the matter and added it was retaliatory action in connection with past dispute.

It may be mentioned here that a notorious criminal Hero had fired at the brick kiln on October 21, 2018,for rangdari and Mantosh Kumar Singh was injured.
