Patna : World No 63 Sebastian Korda, 20, USA, defeated World No 104 Marco Cecchinato, 28, Italy, in straight sets in final to win the singles title at Emilia-Romagna Open, an ATP 250 point tennis tournament, at Parma, Italy,on May 29, 2021.
Korda beat Cecchinato 6-2, 6-4 in final in just 75 minutes to win the singles title winning 3 break points and3 games in a row during the match. Korda, in all, won 57 points during the match to 50 by Cecchinato. The American fired 5 Aces in the match to 2 by the Italian. Korda, however, committed 4 double faults in the match to 1 by the Italian.
Korda got 250 Rankings Points plus prize money for winning the singles title. Runner- up Cecchinato secured 150 Rankings Points plus prize money. This will improve the ATP Rankings of both the players.
