Sasaram : Green grocers attacked and pelted police personnel with stones at Kargahar in Rohtas District in South Bihar on May 8, 2021, afternoon, when they reached there to remove vegetable market from that place. Two police personnel were injured in the incident. Police also reportedly had to fire in the air to disperse an unruly mob. Police arrested one person in this connection.
Rohtas District administration has imposed lockdown in the district in view of alarming spike in Covid-19 cases. Police, in the afternoon on May 8, 2021, went to the vegetable market at Kargahar to remove the market to the stadium to control mob. But some of the greengrocers attacked police team and also pelted cops with stones injuring two of them seriously. Police are patrolling in the area though the situation in well under control.
