Patna : World No 27 Aslan Karatsev, 27, Russian, battled past World No 9 Diego Schwartzman, 28, Argentina, in three-sets in 2nd round on May 5, 2021, to reach the Round of 16 at Mutua Madrid Open, an ATP Masters 1,000 points clay court event, at Madrid, Spain. Karatsev beat Schwartzman 2-6, 6-4, 6-1 in second round in 1hr 48 minutes. The Russian will face World No 44 Bublik, 23, Kazakhstan, in next round on May 6, 2021.
