New Delhi : A total of 18,327 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in India in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,11,92,088 cases in the country at 8 am on March 6, 2021. On the other hand, a total of 14,234 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in the country in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,08,54,128 on March 6, 2021.
The active cases (1,80,304) accounted for 1.61 % of the total Covid-19 cases (1,11,92,088) in India on March 6, 2021, an increase of 3,985 cases in last 24 hours. India has tested 22,06,92,677 samples so far including 7,51,935 samples on March 5, 2021. Meanwhile, 1,94,97,704 people have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in India so far including 14,92,201 samples on March 5, 2021.
Of the 1,11,92,088 Covid-19 cases recorded in India so far, altogether 1,08,54,128 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate (RR) dropping to 96.98%, according to Union Health Ministry figure..
The Covid-19 toll climbed to 1,57,656 in India on March 6, 2021, with 108 new deaths being recorded in the country in last 24 hours including 53 in Maharashtra, 16 in Kerala, 11 in Punjab, 5 in Tamilnadu, 4 in Karnataka, 3 in Chhattisgarh, 3 in Delhi, 2 in West Bengal, 2 in Uttarakhand, 1 in Bihar, 1 in Andhra Pradesh, and 1 in Rajasthan. India had recorded 113 new deaths on March 5, 2021.
