
Manjhi had gone to meet the family members of Sudesh Paswan, president of Dumariya block unit of LJP, and his cousin ,who were killed on Wednesday during the panchayat elections. Stones were thrown on the bulletproof car of Manjhi, who denied the suggestion about involvement of naxalites and instead blamed criminals supporting the ruling dispensation.
LJP’s parliamentary board chief Chirag Paswan, MP, who visited the family later said the former CM was attacked at the instance of the ruling alliance leaders and administration remained indifferent.
Reeta Bahuguna Joshi, Congress general secretary who visited the Pradesh Congress Headquaretrs at Sadaqat Ashram on Thursday, regretted deterioration in law and order and urged CM Nitish Kumar to take remedial meaurees immediately. Congress is a partner in Grand Alliance government.
