New Delhi : Altogether 58,684 COVID-19 patients were declared cured/discharged in India during last 24 hours taking the tally to 74,91,513 at 8 am on November 1, 2020, exceeding the number of active cases (5,70,458) by a massive margin of over 69.21 lakh ( 69,21,055). The country, on the other hand, also recorded 46,963 new COVID-19 cases taking the tally to 81,84,082. The number of active cases on November 1, 2020, was 6.97% of the total COVID-19 cases (81,84,082) recorded so far in the country.
Of the 81,84,082 COVID-19 cases recorded in the country till date, a total of 74,91,513 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate being 91.54 % clearly indicating the COVID wave in the country was on decline. India has tested 10,98,87,303 samples so far including 10,91,239 samples on October 31, 2020.
The COVID-10 toll increased to 1,22,111 in the country on November 1, 2020, with 470 new deaths being reported from different places during last 24 hours including 74 from Maharashtra, 63 from Chhattisgarh, 57 from West Bengal, 41 from Delhi, 31 from Tamilnadu, 28 from Karnataka, 27 from Kerala, 18 from Uttar Pradesh, 16 from Punjab, 14 from Andhra Pradesh, 12 from Odisha, 12 from Haryana, 12 from Uttarakhand, 10 from Madhya Pradesh, 9 from Rajasthan, 6 from Bihar, and 5 from Gujarat. The Case Fatality Rate was 1.49% in the country on November 1, 2020. India had recorded 551 new deaths on October 31, 2020.
