Patna : The number of COVID-19 cases recorded so far in Bihar rose to 2,14,163 on October 28, 2020, afternoon, as 780 more persons including 178 from Patna, 58 from Purnia, 50 from Saharsa, 40 each from Nalanda and Muzaffarpur, tested positive to it on October 27, 2020.

According to State Health Department figure, 31 persons from Kishanganj, 24 from Araria, 23 from Jehanabad, 23 from Supaul, 21 each from Sitamarhi and Madhepura, 19 from West Champaran, 18 each from Gopalganj and Gaya, 16 from East Champaran, 15 from Saran, 14 each from Siwan and Munger, 13 from Madhubani, also tested positive to COVID-19 on October 27, 2020.

Of the 2,14,163 COVID-19 cases recorded till date in Bihar, altogether 2,04,317 patients have been declared cured including 1,073 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 95.40%. The number of active cases in Bihar was 8,776 on October 28, 2020. The state has tested 1,04,98,813 samples so far including 1,40,452 on October 27, 2020.

The COVID-19 toll jumped to 1,069 in Bihar on October 28, 2020, with 4 new deaths being reported during last 24 hours including one each from Madhubani, Siwan, Bhagalpur, and Purnia. The toll increased to 68 in Bhagalpur on October 28.
