Patna : Mumbai Indians (MI) beat Royal Challenger Bangalore (RCB) by 5 wickets in the 48th match of IPL 2020 at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi, UAE, on October 28, 2020, late, night, with Suryakumar Yadav scoring an unbeaten 79 in 43 balls hitting 10 fours and 3 sixes, his third fifty this IPL season. Suryakumar was named Player Of The Match.
Suryakumar Yadav singlehandedly won the match for MI. He added 51 runs in 30 balls for the 5th wicket with all-rounder Hardik Pandya. Pandya fell to fast bowler Chris Morris for 17 in 15 balls hitting 2 sixes. MI captain Keiron Pollard remained 4 not out.
This was MI’s 8th win 12 matches and they have now 16 points taking them to the top of points table. For RCB, it was their 5th defeat in 12 matches and they have 14 points. MI had lost their first match against RCB in Super Over.

Krunal Pandya fell to Chahal for 10 making it 107/4. Surayakumar Yadav and Krunal Pandya added 35 runs for the 4th wicket. Hardik Pandya fell to Chris Morris and it was 158/5. Pollard hit a four on the only ball he faced. Fast bowler Dale Steyn bowled 3 wides in 18th over,his 4th over.
For RCB, opener Devdutta padikkal, 20, scored 74 runs in 45 balls with 12 fours and a six. His opening partner Josh Philippe scored 33 runs in 24 balls with 4 fours and 1 six.
