Patna : COVID-19 cases rose to 1,28,850 in Bihar on August 27, 2020, as 1,860 more persons including 296 from Patna, 128 from Bhagalpur, 123 from Begusarai, and 103 from Muzaffarpur, tested positive to it on August 26, 2020.
According to State Health Department, 97 persons from Gaya, 95 from Madhubani,84 from Araria, 75 from Purnia,70 from East Champaran, 67 from Aurangabad, 65 from Katihar, 61 from Supaul, 58 from Gopalganj, 54 from Rohtas, also tested positive to COVID on August 26, 2020.
Of the 1,28,850 COVID cases in Bihar, 1,09,696 patients have been declared cured/discharged including 2,931 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 85.13%. A total of 27,77,160 COVID samples have been tested till date in the state. The number of active cases in Bihar stands at 18,491.
COVID-19 death toll in the state, on the other hand, rose to 662 with 9 new deaths being reported from different place during last 24 hours including 5 from Patna, and one each from Madhepura, Begusarai, Muzaffarpur, and Saharsa. The toll increased to 149 in Patna on August 27, 2020.
