Ara : Bhojpur police, on a tip off, arrested two cyber criminals from near Tribhuwani Chowk under Nawada police station, Ara, in Bhojpur District in South Bihar on August 27, 2020, though other members of the gang escape.

A named FIR has been lodged with Nawada police station in this connection and thetwo arrested criminals were sent them to jail after interrogation. Police are conducting raids to arrest other members of the gang. The arrested cyber criminals were identified as Niranjan Mishra, son of late Ramsharan Mishra of Tiwari Tola, and Shankar Rai, son of Rajendra Rai of Rivilganj under Rivilganj police station in Saran district. Police seized one ATM cloning device, SBI printed paper, wire cutter instrument, electric soldering instrument, 3 android mobile phones and one white colour Scorpio without registration number from their possession.

Bhojpur SP Har Kishore Rai said that he got information that some miscreants in a while Scorpio were planning to commit crime. He at once directed Nawada police station and a police conducted raids near Tribhuwani Kothi, Ara railway station, and arrested two members of cyber gang and seized a white Scorpio without registration number, several ATM cards, ATM cloning device, and other instruments from their possession.

The SP said that the members of the gang were involved in drawing money from the ATM after cloning ATM and the arrested criminals had confessed their crime during interrogation. He said that the gang was quite active at Ara, Piro, Jagdishpur, Bihia, and Shahpur areas and targeted only unguarded ATM kiosks.
