Man murdered at Gopalganj village

Gopalganj:  Body of a man with his throat slit with a sharpedged weapon was found in a field at village Karkataha under Kateya police station in Gopalganj district on Wednesday. The body was later sent for autopsy.

Locals said that earlier the identity of the youth could not be ascertained but later he was identified as Guddu Singh (32), a native of village Bharpurwa under Vijayeepur police station. It seems that Guddu was murdered somewhere else and his body was dumped in a field near Bhagwar Chaur, they said.

Police said that Guddu Singh had left his house late on October 18 Tuesday evening but did not return home till late in the night. His family members started a search for him and his body was recovered on Wednesday, police said.
